This Vita Mix Blender jar is for grinding grain and kneading bread dough. The jar included with most Vita Mix Blenders at purchase is the Vita-mix Wet Container, meant for drinks, and other "wet" jobs.
The Vita Mix Dry Blade container does a better job at grains and dough than the Vita-Mix Wet Container, though is not nessecary for these applications.
